In Campobasso, during the feast of Corpus Christi, the Mysteries carry out an evocative procession believed to have very few rivals in Italy and in the world for the joyful participation of the population and the magnificent creativities that parade along the streets of the town among the incredulity and amazement of the people. The mysteries of Campobasso are the result of the wise union of genial artistic creativity belonging to Paolo Saverio di Zinno, a sculptor from Campobasso (1718 – 1781) and the skill of the talented local blacksmiths. The mysteries of Campobasso summarise not only undoubted artistic and craft qualities but also folklore, religion and popular devotion.

The Mysteries Museum can be visited every working day from 16.00 to 18.00 hrs. For visits at different hours or on holidays it is necessary to make reservations with at least two days notice at the following telephone numbers 3285556549 – 3275954028.

For organized groups or school-children the reservations must be accompanied by a written request addressed to the Mysteries and Traditions Association. Entrance to the Museum is free but a suggested donation is encouraged.
