IMMACOLATA CONCEZIONE
The subject of this Mistero is the Immaculate Conception of the Holy Virgin who is portrayed with a moon under Her feet and a twelve-star crown on Her head (Apocalypse 12,1). The Virgin is surrounded by five angels: the one above Her is crowning Her, the ones below Her are holding respectively the Celestial Sphere and the Cross, symbol of Christ triumphant over sin - depicted as a snake (Genesis 3,15).
