S. ANTONIO ABATE

This Mistero represents the temptations that S. Antonio Abate suffered at the hand of the devils. These are depicted both in their usual appearance (above and below the Saint) and in the shape of a beautiful Maiden. On the Saint’s right there is an angel holding a stick with a bell and on the left another angel holding a book with a flame on. The flame represents the fire which the Saint protects us from, the stick symbolizes the Saint’s life as a hermit and the ringing bell reminds the crowds to pray.

Characters: six; Bearers: fourteen;
Height: 5,80 meters; Weight: 490 kg.
